​My top 3 easy healthy snacks     

 Everyone snacks, and sometimes you just need a little pick me up to finish a task or an in between snack to tide you over until meal time. If you snack those calories can add up. I recommend these healthy, delicious and nutritious easy to grab snacks available to help you stay on track with your gluten free lifestyle goals. These choices are much better than empty high calorie alternatives like chips. 

  1. Fruit
Fruits are packed with healthful nutrition, and fruits with edible seeds and peels provide wonderful fiber, which help keep your gut moving and help you feel satisfied longer.  Some of my favorites are kiwi, bananas, apples, tangerines, oranges and mangoes, to name a few. I like to have a piece of fruit with breakfast, like a banana, and for lunch I pack an apple. 

  1. Berries
Berries are powerhouses of nutrition with healthful vitamins, minerals and some like blueberries contain antioxidants, and raspberries and blackberries have edible seeds which provide great fiber, which helps keep your gut moving. After dinner I like to have berries for dessert.

  1. Nuts
Raw nuts like pecans, walnuts, almonds, Brazil nuts, pistachios and pumpkin and sunflower seeds are some of my favorite. Nuts are protein and nutrition packed and will keep you full longer. I carry nuts with me at all times in case I need a handy healthy snack. Nuts may be a little more expensive per ounce than junk food alternatives, like chips, but they are nutritionally superior.
