About Julie

Hi! I'm Julie Semones, BSN. I'm a Registered Nurse. I help others become their own health advocate and take charge of their health and wellness. Being your own health advocate puts you back in charge of your well-being. You have much more power than you think when it comes to your own body.
I will teach you a way of eating that will actually give you energy, cause you to lose weight and reduce inflammation, which in turn reduces pain and chronic illness. You don’t have to just live with a condition, you can do something about it. I went from struggling with several autoimmune disorders, feeling sluggish, depressed and foggy to feeling great, having increased energy and clarity.
At one time I was on several medications. Through eating a plant-based diet, I’ve been able to reduce my dosages and am working to wean myself completely off of them all together.
I will teach you why a whole food diet is so important and how you can actually make it work despite your busy lifestyle. All of my recipes are fast, easy and delicious.
I’ve been eating this way for several years so I can teach you all of the ins and out to help make it easy and doable for you and your family. I will guide you where to shop, what to buy and how to put it together. Plus, I will teach you the mindset necessary to maintain this eating style long term.
My story.....
My desire to become a nurse began in childhood, growing up I watched my father struggle with insulin dependent Diabetes and suffer with multiple complications, he died in 1986 of a heart attack at age 48.
I have a daughter with cerebral palsy and a husband with Type II Diabetes, and they both struggle with dietary constraints.
My own health journey began in 1987 when I was diagnosed with dermatitis herpetiformis. A hereditary autoimmune disease, that manifests as a chronic itchy skin rash or dermatitis.
Whenever I am stressed or eat any product with gluten, I develop the itchy skin rash.
As time went on I developed other autoimmune disorders, Hashimoto’s thyroid disease, allergic conjunctivitis (GPC), endometriosis, kidney disease and joint pain.
I learned that most of these conditions are caused or aggravated by autoimmune disease, a condition in which your hypersensitive immune system starts attacking itself, causing chronic inflammation and with diet management the impact can be lessened.
Through my family and personal journey and being a nurse for over 30 years, I began helping others who struggle with gluten intolerance, autoimmune disease and or dietary concerns.
There is so much confusing, conflicting information on the internet, it’s hard to know what to do. Individual assessment and customization of your own path is essential because everyone’s journey to wellness is unique.
If you're struggling with low energy, inflammation, gut problems or other health issues, call me today. I will help you customize a wellness plan specific to you and your needs, show you how easy it can be to make the necessary changes and how you can maintain your new healthy lifestyle long term. It's time to become the best version of you. You can do this! You're body will thank you.
